Mountain Creek (MC) – 5 weeks – morning lessons and afternoon free ski

The Mountain Creek program will run for 5 weeks beginning on Sunday January 5th 2020 and ending on Sunday, February 2nd, 2020 at the Mountain Creek (MC) located in Vernon, NJ. Both learn to ski and afternoon free ski sessions will be offered. TSI chaperones will be available on MLK weekend. All day pass will be offered. Formal lessons on that day are pending with the mountain.  The morning sessions will be led by certified ski instructors at MC and afternoon sessions by parent chaperones. The primary goal of the program is for kids to develop ski or snowboard skills that would allow them to become proficient or compete at various levels.

Morning Session (Minimum 1.5 hour Lesson) / Afternoon Session (Free Ski)

The primary program will take place at Mountain Creek (MC) in Vernon, NJ. (http://www.mountaincreek.com/). It will run on Sundays and includes all-day lift tickets and lesson. Morning sessions are scheduled to start at 8am. We also organize free ski groups with parental chaperones after lunch until about 2:30pm. Rentals are optional. We suggest a seasonal rental from the area ski shops or acquire through a ski swap.  Thrillseekers’ discount is available for rental through area ski shops. We are also working on a group rental rate (details to come).

At this point they are promoted to all mountain ski programs and race Programs.

The cost of the program (valued at over $800) is subsidized through a series of grants which allows us to offer tiered pricing to members at deeply discounted rates. We offer a tiered cost structure in which you self-select the most affordable rate for your child/children. Members (Non-Members) who select the higher option are helping to make the program more sustainable and grow year over year. The tiered rates should be selected when completing the on line registration.

Additional Cost:

We will organize an additional ski day (6th week) at another mountain within a 2 hour driving distance (Wyndham or Shawnee) and will provide additional details in upcoming weeks.

Also, Thrillseekers host a year-end banquet to recognize the participants and we ask for parents to make donations to offset the actual cost of the function. A separate email will be distributed to program participants at a later date.

Registration Forms:

All registration will take place online this year. Registration runs through Nov 24th. This year, the enrollment will be limited, and participants are encouraged to register early!!

This one is for those interested in Winter Sports activity and all potential Thrillseekers, which only gets a couple of general emails during the season. After you opt-in to the program, we switch you to a Participants list, which continues to receive details. If at any time you would like to be removed, please let us know at youthchair@thrillseekers.org.
